Real estate sign prices in
Uxbridge
Uxbridge sits on the Oak Ridges Moraine, where protected countryside, horse farms and estate lots on gravel sideroads surround a compact town core, so a listing here can be a century home on Brock Street or forty acres off a concession road.
A moraine listing frequently cannot be seen from the road, which means the sign at the lane and the directionals that get a buyer to it are doing the entire job of finding the property.
Signing a listing in Uxbridge
Uxbridge is the hardest part of Durham Region to navigate, and that is the entire signage problem here. The Oak Ridges Moraine put the roads over the hills and the houses behind them, so an estate listing off a sideroad can be invisible from every direction a buyer might approach it from. On those properties the sign is not decoration. It is the address.
Listings in the Brock Street core are the opposite and behave like any main street. Where agents get caught is the middle case: five or ten acres with a hedged or gated entrance, where a buyer has to be told at the sideroad that a turn is coming and told again at the lane that this is the right one. Two directionals and a sign at the entrance do more for that listing than a bigger panel at the house ever will.

Getting signs to Uxbridge
- Uxbridge Township is Durham Region, so the flat $15 covers a drop at the town office or at a gate on a gravel sideroad.
- A picture rider is $30. On a property a buyer cannot see from the road it is the only thing that shows them what is up the driveway.
- Stepstake directionals are $25 each at 18 x 24 inches, and a moraine listing usually needs two or three rather than one.
- Estate and equestrian listings in Uxbridge are where a picture rider earns its keep, because it gives a buyer the property shot before they commit to a long private driveway.
